Pink Beach
A fascinating place to explore within the Komodo Islands, is the Pink Beach also referred to as Pantai Merah.
You can see the tints of pink on the shoreline which is truly wonderful.
It gets its pink color due to the microscopic organisms- Foraminifera, which produces a red pigment to the reefs and then combines with white sand giving a pink effect.
Kalong Island
It is one of the spectacular islands and has a mangrove forest within it. It is famous for the bats hanging onto the trees during day time and flies around during sunset.
Tourists visit this place just to witness the gorgeous sunset setting that looks incredible with hundreds of bats flying against the sunset backdrop.
