AirAsia expects a strong recovery for air travel in all key domestic destinations and for international flights to resume in the near future, complemented by stringent health and safety protocols that the airline has put in place.Below are the details of latest developments

1. AirAsia Thailand – The airline is also   resuming   flights in November from its operational base at Suvarnabhumi Airport, commencing with six  routes, to Chiang Mai, Nan, Phuket and Nakhon Si Thammarat starting 1 November, and to Chiang Rai and Krabi starting 19 November with highest health and safety measures.  In the coming weeks, AirAsia Thailand will offer 36 routes to 23 destinations, operating 60 flights a day

2. AirAsia Indonesia – AirAsia Indonesia has resumed flying & covering the domestic Indonesia Routes . It is awaiting the permit to fly to international destinations with respect to the bubble agreement of the countries with the Indonesia

3. AirAsia Berhard – The Airline parent firm AirAsia Berhard is not flying as of now due to proposed Debt restructuring exercise.As per latest developments Proposed Debt Restructuring to be tabled at the Court Convened Meeting (CCM) on 12 November 2021 . Kuala lampur High court is monitoring this exercise .It is to be noted that once the restructuring scheme is approved and once they are back to “business as usual”, the airline will again be in a position to extend travel privileges and entitlements to passengers and creditors.
