The tallest structure in the world with an estimated height of 2,722 ft (829.9 m) including the antenna of the building and it has 57 elevators and 8 escalators.

In 2004, the construction began and was completed in 2009. Adrian Smith, Owings & Merill designed it.
Hyder Consulting was responsible for the engineering part with NORR Group consultants.
The design takes inspiration for the Islamic Architecture.

It won the award for the “Best Tall Building Middle East & Africa” award by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat and the best project of the year at the Middle East Architect Awards 2010 in June and September respectively.
