Betutu is a famous dish in Balinese Culture. A popular dish in both Bali and Lombok, Indonesia. The dish contains mainly duck or chicken that is steamed or roasted. And it is seasoned with the Betutu mix. It is a spicy dish and you can make it spicier according to your taste, is called Ayam Betutu if the chicken is used as the main ingredient. While if the duck is used then it is called Bebek Betutu.

To cook it on the stove:-
- First clean the chicken and dry it using tissue.
- Grind the spices to make a fine and thick paste.
- Then add the herbs and saute it well for sometime until cooked.
- Add chicken to the pan and mix it well and put water onto it.
- Cook it till it comes to a boil and cooked properly.
- Garnish it with some fresh coriander leaves or fried onions and green chilies.
- Serve it with rice.

To cook it on the oven:-
- Clean the chicken and dry it with a help of a tissue.
- Grind the spices in the mixer and the herbs with a bit of water so to make it a thick paste.
- Then rub the paste onto the chicken and stuff it with the paste along with cassava leaves.
- Refrigerate it for 2 hours after wrapping it in the banana leaves or Aluminium foil.
- Then cook it on the oven until it gets tender and properly cooked.
